Important Points to Note

Your Student Number is generated only after full fee payment (including late fee if applicable), successful document submission and approval, and verification of your registered mobile number and email ID by NMIMS Online Learning. (Refer: https://halo.co.in/documents)
Once the Student Number is generated, it usually takes 2–3 working days to activate your NMIMS Student Zone and receive your login password
Hard copy study materials are dispatched and generally take up to 10 working days to reach the address provided during the admission process
You will receive a Welcome Kit that includes your study materials
Your NMIMS Student Zone password will be sent to your registered email ID within 2 working days after the Student Number is generated

Steps To Access NMIMS Student Zone

Open https://studentzone-ngasce.nmims.edu in your web browser. Google Chrome is recommended
Enter your Student Number as your User ID
Your Student Number and Password for the NMIMS Student Zone will be sent to your registered email ID by the University
If you have not received your password, click on Forgot Password
After clicking Forgot Password, the password will be sent to your registered email ID
You can also access the Student Zone using the NMIMS Online Learning mobile app

When you log in for the first time, you must change your password and update your profile
These steps are mandatory and must be completed once
In the Update Profile section, ensure you fill in all fields across the three sections
Fields shown in grey cannot be edited. Only fill the white fields
If any white field, including address, is left blank, you will get an error
Wherever parents’ names are asked, enter only the first name

Steps To View Live Lectures And Schedule

The University limits each orientation session to 1000 students to ensure smooth Q&A and information sharing
Multiple orientation sessions are conducted so students can take part in live interaction
If you miss any session, you may attend any upcoming orientation slot
Orientation details will be shared via Email and WhatsApp at least one day in advance
Students of all NMIMS Online Learning programs are requested to visit https://halo.co.in/nmims-distance-lectures/ to check the latest lecture schedule related to their course
The Academic Calendar is updated one day before the lecture date
Always click the Academic Calendar menu inside your NMIMS Student Zone
Do not use the Academic Calendar shortcut shown on the NMIMS Online Portal dashboard
The calendar will show your scheduled lectures as per the listed dates
To attend a lecture, click on the subject you want to watch on the same day
To attend a live lecture, you must log in at least 60 minutes before the lecture time
You will see an “Attend Session” button on the right side. Click it to watch the lecture live
The process to watch lectures is the same on a browser and a mobile device
Download the Zoom extension or app when prompted in Chrome, the mobile app, or any other browser

Steps To View Recorded Lectures Or E-Books

Click on My Courses
You will see all subject names in blue boxes, along with options like Resources, Q&A, Forum, etc
Click on Resources for the subject where you want to view recorded lectures or e-Books
Inside Resources, you will find course material, presentations, session plans, recorded lectures, and other related resources
From the drop-down menu, select PDF to access e-Books
Select PPT if you want to view PowerPoint presentations
Select Video to watch NMIMS recorded lectures
Another way to access recorded lectures is through Session Videos
Visit https://halo.co.in/recorded-lectures to check the detailed steps
Please note that downloads of lectures and e-Books are disabled on the NMIMS Online web portal
You can download and view lectures or e-Books only through the NMIMS Mobile App

About Assignments

The Internal Assignment (IA) for each subject carries a total of 30 marks
The IA consists of Descriptive Questions (DQ) for 20 marks and a Quiz (MCQ) for 10 marks
The IA will be made live based on the course coverage for the subject
Students will get approximately one month to complete and submit the IA
Students must submit the Descriptive Questions (DQ) in PDF format
Students must ensure they submit the IA within the given deadline
Students can choose any of the pre-defined date and time slots to attempt the quiz as per their convenience
Students are allowed to attempt the quiz a maximum of two times per subject
The best score out of the two quiz attempts will be considered for marking
The quiz duration will be 30 minutes
There will be no negative marking in the quiz
Students must re-attempt the IA if they score 0 marks, do not attempt the IA (ANS), or are involved in a copy case in DQ
The re-attempt IA will carry a full weightage of 30 marks
The re-attempt will be conducted only in Descriptive Question (DQ) format
The re-attempt will not include any MCQ component
The re-attempt will be conducted in the upcoming exam cycle as per the question paper provided in that cycle
Students must maintain a minimum of 75% learner engagement in each subject to be eligible for the Term End Examination (TEE)
If a student does not meet the 75% learner engagement requirement, their exam registration for that subject will be cancelled
Students who do not meet the 75% learner engagement requirement will not be allowed to appear for the TEE of that subject

To View And Submit Assignments

For the June 2026 exam cycle the Internal Assignment (DQ: 30 marks) will be made Live tentatively by the first week of April 2026
The last date for submission will be in the last week of May 2026
On the web portal, click on Exams and then select Assignment
On the mobile app, go to My Courses → Subject Name → Assignments
For the June 2026 exam cycle the Internal Assignment (DQ: 30 marks) will be made Live tentatively by the first week of April 2026
You will find Assignment Guidelines and Assignment Submission Steps displayed in blue boxes
Model answers and assignment preparation videos will also be available on the same page
Below the blue boxes, you will see a table containing assignment questions for all subjects
Download the assignment question files for all subjects
Before submitting your completed assignment, convert it to PDF format

About Examination

NMIMS Online Learning exams are online and computer-based, not paper-and-pen
There is no fixed syllabus priority. You are expected to study the entire book content and attend/watch all lectures
Exams have two components 30 marks: Internal (Assignments) 70 marks: Term-end exam
Both components are compulsory
Passing marks are 40 out of 100
The 70-mark term-end exams will be conducted in June 2026
Assignment questions will be uploaded tentatively by the first week of April 2026
Exam registration will open in the second week of May 2026 (you will be notified once it goes live)
The exam fee is ₹800 per subject, payable during exam registration
Each semester has 6 subjects, so the total exam fee per semester is ₹4,800
Hall tickets will be available by the last week of May 2026 in your NMIMS CDOE Student Zone → Exams → Hall Ticket (for students appearing at university centres)
Indicative exam dates: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays across four weeks in June 2026
These dates are tentative. Final exam dates will be shared once officially announced You have the flexibility to choose your exam subjects and exam dates during the exam window
If you are unable to appear for exams in June 2026, you can apply for a re-sit in September 2026
Full-length sample question papers are not provided by the University
You can access Exams → Demo Exam to understand the MCQ and descriptive exam pattern
Demo exam papers are provided only for reference and practice
Demo exams may be available for selected subjects only, and may not apply to all programs or semesters
The number of practice questions is limited
Students can view their MCQ scores after attempting the demo exam
Students can use the exam editor tool to review answers and understand which questions were answered incorrectly

Re-Registration Or Next Semester Fee Payment

MBA (Online), Diploma, BBA, B.Com, and students must pay the next semester's fee on or before the last week of June 2026
Re-registration does not apply to Certificate course students
Diploma students can upgrade to NMIMS Online MBA only before paying the Semester 2 fee

If you want to change your specialization, you can do so while paying the next semester's fee on the NMIMS Online Learning website
Specialization change is allowed only: Before the Semester 2 fee payment for Diploma students Before the Semester 3 fee payment for NMIMS Online MBA students
An additional fee (currently ₹2,000) is applicable if you choose to change your specialization
You can complete re-registration even if you have not appeared for the exams
